USA: Moto veteran in hot seat

Motorola has put a 20-year Motorola veteran in charge of global mobile sales. He is Mark Shockley who reports to Sanjay Jha, Motorola chief executive of mobile devices and home business.

Shockley joined Motorola in 1979. Most recently he was senior vice president and general manager for the Americas region for mobile devices. He has also been a general manager for East Asia and held sales, marketing, international operations, product management, and business operations jobs.

Also, Frank Meng has been appointed mobile devices corporate vice president and president for Greater China.  He will run all business and sales operations for China, Hong Kong and Tawian, reporting to Shockley.

Meng joins from Qualcomm where he was corporate senior vice president and president of Qualcomm Greater China. He has over 25 years experience in telecoms.
