Samsung has announced the new Galaxy A90 5G smartphone, and has confirmed it will be available to demo at IFA.

The Galaxy A90 5G runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon Snapdragon 855 chipset with Android 9.0, and comes in versions with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. Both versions feature 128GB of internal storage and a 4,500mAh battery.

Additionally, it has a triple-camera setup, with a 48MP camera, and 8MP ultra-wide, a 5MP depth info sensor and a 32MP selfie camera. It has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display.

It comes in black and white colours with a geometric pattern on its back.

The Galaxy A90 5G is released in Korea tomorrow, and will be available to pre-order in the UK from September 20 and will be released on October 4. Pricing will be announced closer to these dates, but as a non-flagship device, it will probably be less than that of the Galaxy Note 10 5G and S10 5G.

Vodafone UK and Three UK have confirmed that they will be offering the device.

“We’re excited about the success of the Galaxy A Series – a generation of smartphones built for the new Era of Live that focuses on essential features people want the most, including a high-quality camera, long-lasting battery and immersive display,” said Samsung corporate vice president for the UK & Ireland Conor Pierce. “Samsung has worked tirelessly with our partners in the 5G ecosystem to bring 5G to as many people as possible, and now we are offering 5G connectivity across the entire Galaxy smartphone portfolio, giving more people high speed access and connected experiences.”
